Start with the business goal, not the colour scheme
A useful brief explains what the website needs to achieve before it asks how the website should look. Lead generation, bookings, ecommerce, recruitment and information sites have different priorities.
That context helps an agency decide what questions need deeper discussion and prevents visual preferences from becoming the entire brief.
Separate must-have features from nice-to-have ideas
