Review a first-stage legal enquiry form before you publish it. The checklist focuses on practical intake structure: conflict-check basics, urgent dates, data minimisation and a clean handoff into full onboarding.

Why this structure matters
The SRA advises firms to consider limiting confidential information before a conflict check, while the ICO’s data-minimisation principle says personal data should be adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the purpose. A short first-stage enquiry form fits that logic better than a full matter-opening questionnaire.
